Buddy Workshop Level 1
The Level 1 Buddy and Leading Wellbeing workshop is designed to equip participants with the knowledge and practical tools to foster a mentally healthy workplace.
The content of this workshop includes:
- Learning to identify suicide risk, depression, anxiety, and substance abuse.
- Developing skills to initiate conversations about mental health within work meetings.
- Acquiring practical tools to effectively identify, communicate with, and support workers facing mental health challenges.
- Gaining a deeper understanding of the factors that impact mental wellbeing in the workplace.
- Enhancing confidence in addressing mental health concerns and empowering individuals to seek appropriate support.
3 hour workshop.

Level 2 Buddy Workshop takes a deeper dive into mental health by providing tools to improve help-seeking within the workplace.
Key areas covered are:
- Knowledge and skills to respond to a worker who is experiencing a mental health crisis.
- Knowledge and skills to support workers who hold negative attitudes towards seeking help.
- Conversations on how to encourage help-seeking within the workplace.
- Increased knowledge on self-care.
- How to motivate someone who is resistant to seek help.
- Knowledge on supporting someone struggling with substance abuse (alcohol, cannabis, and methamphetamine).
